A man from Gurugram was allegedly fined Rs 1,000 for being drunk inside his car despite him not being behind the wheel. Sharing the incident in a Reddit post titled "Drinking and driving in Gurgaon...my car got pulled over by the cops last night," the man narrated the incident.
As per the Reddit post, his car was stopped by the police while he was returning from a party. The man was "completely sozzled" but had a "personal driver/chauffeur" with him who was driving the car.
The man further clarified that the driver was checked multiple times and was found to be completely sober, as he was on duty. He also said there was no alcohol found in the car and the driver was fit to drive, yet he was fined Rs 1,000 simply for being intoxicated as a passenger.
