The accused of gang-raping a minor has been arrested by the police in an encounter in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested three accused in this operation. A teenager from the Civil Line area, whose father runs a watermelon cart, had gone to give the goods to her father. Meanwhile, two boys from the Civil Line area took the minor on their bike to the ravines of the Yamuna River in the Badhpura police station area and gang-raped her. The accused had also called another youth on the phone; all three together carried out the incident. The police have got the victim medically examined.

In this case, the police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim's family. The accused opened fire on the police who had come to arrest them. In the retaliatory action of the police, one miscreant, Vipin, was injured by a bullet in his leg, while two other accomplices, Anshul, alias Chhotu, and Rohit, have also been arrested.
SSP Etawah Brijesh Kumar Srivastava informed that a petition was given by the plaintiff at Thana Badhpura, in which it was mentioned that a person had raped the daughter, and he was accompanied by his two friends. On this information, a case was immediately registered at Thana Badhpura under relevant sections. The named accused and his two accomplices were arrested.
The SSP said that, during interrogation of the main accused, it came to light that a pistol was also used at the time of the incident. The police team had reached to recover the pistol. During this, the police had an encounter with the accused. In the retaliatory action of the police, the main accused, Vipin, was shot in the leg. The accused has been admitted to the district hospital. Illegal pistols and empty live cartridges have been recovered from his possession.
Further legal action is underway in the entire case.
