Noida News: An electric scooter caught fire and burst into flames in Gaur City's Seventh Avenue society. The scooter belonged to a delivery boy who was in the society to deliver a parcel. An undated video that has surfaced on social media showed the impact of the explosion.
The witness saw the scooter running smoothly before sensing the smoke leak from its battery compartment and then quickly bursting into flames.
The incident comes around a month after a fire broke out following an explosion at a chemical plant in the Badalpur area of Greater Noida. Thirty-two fire tenders had to be pressed into service to douse the flames.
Earlier, a fire erupted inside a locked apartment on the second floor of Gaur City 16th Avenue Society in Bisrakh and spread to the third-floor balcony.
There were no casualties, but property damage was reported. Three fire tenders responded, and the fire was controlled within two hours. The fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
The apartment was locked as its owner was away. With the help of the society's maintenance team, officials entered the flat and controlled the blaze.
