Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi Celebrations: The Delhi Police have issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of disruptions across the city on Monday, September 16, due to the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations. The festival, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad, is expected to lead to significant traffic alterations due to various processions.


Central Delhi will see a major procession commencing at 11 am from Bara Hindu Rao and proceeding through Pahadi Dheeraj, Chauk Bara Tooti, Sadar Bazaar, Qutub Road, Lahori Gate, Khari Bawli, Masjid Fatehpuri, Katra Badian, Farash Khana, Lal Kuan, Chauk Hauz Qazi, and Chawri Bazaar, culminating at Chauk Jama Masjid.


The advisory notes that heavy traffic is anticipated on Rani Jhansi Road, Chandni Chowk Road, Bara Hindu Rao Road, SPM Marg, Khari Bawli Marg, Hare Ram Marg, Chawri Bazaar Road, and Jama Masjid Road due to this procession.


Several roads will be closed or restricted in Delhi on Monday. Traffic movement will be limited on Bara Hindu Rao Marg, Maharaja Agrasen Marg, Qutub Road, Hare Ram Marg, Swami Vivekananda Marg, Katra Badian Road, Lal Kuan Bazaar Road, Hamdard Road, and Chawri Bazaar, among other surrounding routes.


In north-west Delhi, another procession will take place from Madarsa Nizamia E Block to near Samrat Cinema, Shakurpur, between 7 am and 2 pm.


In south Delhi, a procession will be held from Pare Wali Masjid Ambedkar Colony, Chhatarpur, to Andheria Mod, MG Road, Kalka Das Marg, concluding at Dargah Hazrat Khwaja Bakhtiyar Kaki in Mehrauli, from 10 am to 12 pm.


Additionally, in East Delhi, processions will start from 27 Block Trilokpuri Bus Stand, Pocket-2 Mayur Vihar, Karbala Kotla Village, Mayur Vihar Pocket-1, Acharya Niketan Road, and Trilokpuri Bus Stand.


The Delhi Police have urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly, and avoid the affected areas to mitigate delays.
