A woman suffered a bullet injury during a domestic dispute in the Seelampur area of Delhi. During an altercation at a Welcome Colony home on Thursday, a man suddenly opened fire on his sister's in-laws. The injured woman was immediately taken to the nearby GTB Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.

The injured woman has been identified as Saadma. Delhi Police have registered a case under relevant sections and have begun an investigation.

According to a police official, Seelampur Police Station was informed by the GTB Hospital authorities that a woman had been admitted with a gunshot wound. Upon receiving the information, a police team arrived at the scene. During questioning, the police learned that Sadia (21), a resident of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, had married Zeeshan, who lives in Delhi's Welcome area. Since their wedding, disputes had been cropping up regularly between Sadia and Zeeshan’s families.

Brother Fires Shot During Dispute

Sadia had called her brothers Tafseer, Shehzad, Gulrez, and Muntahir to her house in Welcome Colony due to the ongoing quarrels. Both parties decided to iron out the conflicts. However, a heated argument ensued between the families, during which Sadia’s brother Muntahir fired a shot, which struck Zeeshan’s sister-in-law, Saadma. The bullet hit her in the abdomen. She was rushed to GTB Hospital for treatment. Police have arrested all four suspects who were present at the scene.

North-East Delhi DCP Rakesh Pawaria confirmed that on Thursday night, Seelampur Police received information from GTB Hospital about a woman being admitted with a gunshot wound in the abdomen. Based on the family's complaint, four individuals were taken into custody.
