Delhi woke up to a rainy morning on Wednesday as the India Meteorological Department issued a 'yellow' alert for the national capital. The rain lashed several parts of the city with dark clouds covering the sky.
As per IMD, the city is expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next three days. The weather department issued an orange warning with a "very heavy rainfall" prediction for Thursday.
On Friday, the national capital is expected to receive "heavy" rainfall with IMD sounding a "yellow alert. For the rest days of the week, the skies are expected to remain clear.

The rain on Wednesday brought down the mercury as the city recorded a minimum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, 2.6 notches below the season's average, weather officials said, according to PTI.
However, the rainfall also led to traffic snarl in the city amid light shower.
The city recorded a 6 milimetres of rainfall in the 24-hour period up to 8:30 am. The weather department said that the maximum temperature is likely to settle around 32 degrees Celsius.
This morning, Delhi's humidity level stood at a high 92% as of 8:30 am. Meanwhile, the city's air quality was deemed acceptable, with a reading of 81 at 9 am, as per data from the Central Pollution Control Board.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
