Several areas of the national capital will face water scarcity for 12 hours on Friday. The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) said the disruption in water supply on Friday will be due to maintenance work.
According to the DJB, the interruption will be caused by interconnection work on a newly installed 800 mm diameter loop line near Rajouri Garden Metro Station, adjacent to Pillar No. 415. As a result, water supply will either be unavailable or provided at low pressure in the affected areas from 10 AM to 10 PM on October 25.
Residents have been advised to store adequate water in advance to meet their needs during the outage and to use water conservatively. The DJB has also assured that water tankers will be available on request through the DJB helpline or the central control room.
