Festivals of Durga Puja and Dussehra are around the corner which would mean increased footfalls at various places across Delhi-NCR. To manage increased crowds, police in Delhi and Noida have issued traffic advisories for smooth movement on the road and several hotspots.
The Delhi Police have listed a few spots in the city that have been expected to attract large gatherings between October 3 and October 13. These places include the Jhandewalan Mandir, Shri Adhya Katyayani Shaktipith Mandir (Chhatarpur), and Kalkaji Mandir.
In view of Durga Puja procession and immersion, commuters entering Delhi from Noida-Greater Noida Expressway via Kalindi Border will have to take the route from Charkha Roundabout towards Dalit Prerna Sthal. These vehicles will be able to go towards their destination via DND/Chilla.
Commuters have been advised to carefully plan their travel and avail of public transport to help decongestion of roads. Commuters going to IGI Airport, New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station, Nizamuddin Railway Station, and ISBT have also been advised to leave with sufficient time at hand to accommodate possible delays on the route.
Noida Traffic Advisory
The traffic advisory by Noida police states that several routes will see traffic restrictions from 2:00 PM on October 11 to the conclusion of the celebrations on October 12. The roads around key event locations including Stadium Sector-21 and Ramlila Maidan in Sector-62 will see restrictions during the specified time.
The police have recommended using alternative routes to avoid disruptions.

Additionally, the traffic advisory has also addressed traffic arrangements for idol immersions for Vijayadashami. Several key routes in the city will be affected as part of the preparations for special processions, Durga idol visarjans, and events at popular venues from 9:00 AM on October 1.
The route towards Kalindi Border from Sector 37 will be diverted from Mahamaya Flyover towards Dalit Prerna Sthal.
Parking provisions have been made in some areas to ensure safe parking of vehicles as citizens participate in the Navratri celebrations. For any emergencies, Noida Police have set up a 24-hour helpline (9971009001) for public assistance.
