Two individuals reportedly linked to a drug trafficking network were arrested on Tuesday after the Delhi Police Crime Branch busted the operation in a major crackdown. Among those apprehended were Amit, infamously known as the “Heroin King,” along with his associate Rohit alias Boncha.

Following their arrest, Police managed to unearthen a major drug network operating across the capital and the NCR and recovered a large quantity of 'heroin'.

The operation began on the night of April 23, when the Crime Branch received a tip-off about a drug supplier from Uttar Pradesh planning a heroin delivery in Delhi. On April 24, a suspect arrived on a motorcycle at Outer Ring Road, Wazirabad.

The police laid a trap and immediately arrested Rohit alias Boncha at the spot discovering massive heroin haul in his possession confirming that he wasn’t a small-time dealer, but part of a larger drug syndicate.

'Heroin King': The Master Mind Of 'Heroin' Supplier Across Delhi, Ghaziabad

During interrogation, Rohit revealed that he was working for Amit, a resident of Nand Nagri, who masterminded heroin supply chains across Delhi and Ghaziabad. An arrest warrant (NBW) was obtained from the court, and Amit was nabbed on May 9 in a covert operation conducted in Bhopura, Ghaziabad.

Amit, who dropped out after 9th grade, used to work at a clothing shop. Financial struggles eventually pushed him into the drug business.

Boncha, a 10th-grade pass with a history of theft cases, transitioned from Ghaziabad’s streets to drug dealing. In pursuit of quick money, both chose a path that leads only to jail or death.

Delhi Police believe more members of this drug network will be apprehended soon. This operation not only exposed a major drug racket but also sent a strong message that those involved in the drug trade will be behind bars.
