A blast has been reported outside a CRPF school in the Prashant Vihar area of Delhi's ​​Rohini district. The fire department was informed about the incident at around 7:50 am, after which two fire brigades were immediately dispatched to the spot. However, no fire or damage to the wall has been found so far, the fire department said. It added that the team is continuously carrying out searches in the area.






Delhi Police said they received a call about the blast at 07:47 am. "SHO/PV and staff reached the spot, where the school wall was found damaged with a foul smell," the police said. The glasses of a nearby shop and a car parked near the shop were damaged in the explosion.


"No one was injured and the forensic team and a bomb disposal squad were called to the spot," police said, adding that the crime spot has been cordoned off. "Fire brigade team is on the spot. The matter is being looked into," Delhi Police added.

Delhi Chief Minister attacked the Centre over the explosion. She said it was the central government's job to maintain law and order. "It is the BJP-led Centre's responsibility to maintain law and order. Police, land and law and order come under the central government. The BJP focuses 90 per cent of their energy to trouble the Delhi government. Yesterday, 60 shots were fired in the Welcome area. Today, a small blast was reported in the Rohini area," she said at a press conference.


There Was A Big Cloud Of Smoke: Eyewitness


Shashank, an eyewitness, said there was a big cloud of smoke after the blast. "The only possibilities which we think of are a cylinder blast or a building collapse...There was a big cloud of smoke here which stayed for a good 10 minutes. The glasses of the shops here have broken and the hoardings have been displaced...The police were here within five minutes because there are Crime Branch, Police Station, and District Court nearby. It's good that no one suffered any injury."
