The delay stemmed from the late arrival of the inbound flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Passengers voiced their frustration over inadequate communication and the lack of timely updates or alternate arrangements. Several travellers voiced out long waits and confusion, with many unaware of the changes until shortly before scheduled departures.

Airport authorities and airline representatives have yet to issue a formal statement on the disruptions, but it is said that aircraft rotation issues and operational delays may have contributed to the cancellations and holdups. Travellers are advised to check with airlines for real-time updates before heading to the airport.

Meanwhile, Air India’s operations continued to face turbulence on Tuesday as at least 13 Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights were grounded due to ongoing technical and operational issues. Among the affected routes was Ahmedabad–London service, which had only recently resumed following the fatal crash on June 12, as per a report on The Hindustan Times. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed that since the crash, the airline has cancelled 66 Dreamliner flights, part of a broader total of 83 cancellations involving its widebody fleet.
