A large piece of gauze was found to have been left in the stomach of a woman who underwent a C Section operation at a hospital in Bihar, according to a report by NDTV.

The victim identified as Anjali Kumari of Brahmpura village of Darbhanga district delivered a baby boy on October 8 at the Gynecology and Obstetrics department of Darbhanga Medical College Hospital. However, she developed piercing pains in the stomach shortly after delivery.

Her family consulted a private practitioner, who removed her stitches and discovered a large square piece of gauze left inside her abdomen. The removal process was captured on video using a cellphone.

Currently, she is in critical condition and has been readmitted to the medical college for further treatment. The hospital superintendent stated that while their immediate priority is ensuring the recovery of the patient, an investigation into the incident will also be conducted.

Eye Of Man Goes Missing After Death In Patna Hospital

In a separate incident on November 17 in Bihar, a man's eye reportedly went missing after his death at Patna's Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), leading his family to allege it was removed by the hospital for "business purposes." The family staged a protest, while the hospital attributed the incident to rats.

Fantus Kumar was admitted to Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) on Thursday after he was shot in his abdomen. His brother-in-law stated that it was a conspiracy by the hospital.

"How can they be so negligent? Either someone from the hospital conspired with the people who shot him or the hospital is involved in some business of taking people's eyes out," he was quoted as saying by NDTV.

"If we can't trust such a big facility, who can we trust? Someone took his eye out in the ICU and the hospital is saying it doesn't know what has happened. This is very unfortunate," he added.

An official disclosed that the body was tampered with. "The man's family has alleged that his eye has been taken out. It is clear the body has been tampered with. The doctors have said rats could have bitten off the eye, and we are investigating," he added.

The injured man underwent surgery to remove the bullet at the hospital but succumbed to his injuries at 8:55 pm on Friday. His family stayed with him until 1 am, but when they returned a few hours later, they discovered that his left eye was missing. An FIR has been registered, the official confirmed.

"The possibility of rats biting off the eye cannot be ignored. We will have to wait for a post-mortem. This is not acceptable, and anyone found guilty of negligence will be punished," he further said.
