Bengaluru To See High Temperatures As Summer Arrives Early. Check Forecast

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Bengaluru are very likely to be around 34 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively.

Bengaluru Weather: The IT hub is likely to see warmer days ahead as the weather department has predicted the maximum temperature to settle near 34 degrees Celsius in the coming days. 

The maximum temperatures were above normal over Bagalkote, Dharwad, Gadag and Kalaburgi, of North Interior Karnataka, Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Chintamani Mandya and Mysuru of South Interior Karnataka. Maximum temperatures were normal over the rest of the state, as per the India Meteorological Department.

IMD has forecast mainly clear sky in the early morning hours in some areas. "The maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 34 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively," the bulletin added.

Earlier, IMD scientists said Bengaluru may witness the early onset of summer which usually sets in by the first week of March.

"Winter here typically lasts about three months until Feb-end, but this time it has lasted only two months. Maximum temperature has been rising unusually since the last week of Jan and crossed 30-degree Celsius mark in the first few days of Feb. On Monday, daytime temperature in Bengaluru almost touched 32 degrees Celsius (31.9 deg C) — just a few degrees less than in Raichur and Kalaburagi, said to be the hottest places in Karnataka," a ToI report said quoting senior scientist CS Patil.
