One of the arrested accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, Amit Hisamsing Kumar said he had full knowledge about the murder during interrogation with the police.
The accused, who has been sent to the custody of the Mumbai Police Crime Branch till November 4 by the court, said that the alleged mastermind of the murder, Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar had told him that someone would send money to the former's account. He was supposed to withdraw the money and give it to Zeeshan, said the Mumbai police.
Kumar's arrest is being considered a breakthrough in the murder case as he is suspected to be an important link between a shooter and the mastermind of the conspiracy.
