Atul Subhash Suicide: Dinesh Mishra, the lawyer handling AI engineer Atul Subhash's case filed by his wife Nikita Singhania, has revealed that he was deeply affected by not being able to meet his four-year-old child. Atul was also affected by how he was being treated by Nikita and her parents, the lawyer added.

"We have handled multiple cases for Atul Subhash Modi, including maintenance case, domestic violence and a divorce case filed by his wife under Section 498A...He was a gentle, practical and cooperative individual who regularly attended court dates with great discipline and had faith in the Judiciary," Mishra said.

"What happened between June and July is a matter of investigation and it should be checked whether he was blackmailed...since June we had no contact with Atul. The last we knew, he was distressed about his inability to meet his son," he added.

Mishra had earlier said that the family court had refused to give maintenance to the wife in this case, but ordered an amount of Rs 40,000 per month for the maintenance of the child.
