In a tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal district early Friday morning, three men were killed and another sustained serious injuries after their car crashed into a tree and subsequently rammed into an electricity lamp post, The Times of India reported.

The incident took place around 3 am in the Khajuri Sadak police station area, located approximately 15 km from the district headquarters, according to a police official.

“Three individuals, with ages ranging from 25 to 30 years, lost their lives at the location,” Bairagarh Assistant Commissioner of Police Aditya Raj Singh Thakur confirmed in a telephone conversation.

“The car’s fourth passenger sustained severe injuries and was immediately transported to hospital for treatment,” he added.

According to Thakur, “The vehicle struck a tree on the roadside before colliding with a lamp post.”

Authorities are currently in the process of identifying the deceased, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. As per the TOI report, the destination of the victims remained unknown.
