Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government on Monday presented the first paperless state budget for the financial year 2021-22. State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented the fifth budget of the present government in the state before the state assembly elections early next year.


While unveiling the last budget of the current tenure in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Khanna said "the government's goal is to make Uttar Pradesh self-reliant and ensure all-round development.


According to the reports, the budget presented by Suresh Khanna is over RS 37,410 crore more than the previous year's budget.


Uttar Pradesh Budget 2021-22 Highlights


Ayodhya:


A budget of Rs 140 crores is proposed for the development of Ayodhya. A provision of Rs 50 crore is proposed for the construction of National Inspiration Site in Lucknow. A budget provision of Rs 101 crores for the airport under construction in district Ayodhya has been alloted. An additional budget of Rs 2,000 crore for airports Jewart, Chitrakoot and Sonbhadra


Youth, Students & Women:


Rs 200 crores budget announced for 'Mahila Samarthya Yojana' to boost women empowerment in State. CM Yogi Adityanath in a statament said that the government had recently launched CM 'Abhyuday Yojana' for competitive exams. Now eligible students sitting for UPSC, NEET, banking, Railway or IIT-JEE will be given tablets. 


Infrastructure:


A budgetary arrangement of Rs 7,200 crore for land acquisition of Ganga Expressway project and Rs 489 crore for construction work has been alloted. The Finance Minister gave a budget of Rs 1107 crore for Purvanchal Expressway, Rs 1492 crore for Bundelkhand Expressway and Rs 750 crore for Gorakhpur Expressway. Rs 100 crore for metro rail projects in Varanasi and Gorakhpur


Health and Coronavirus Vaccination:


The state Finance Minister in today's bbudget specch said that the state government has decided to promote Ayurveda extensivly. Ayurveda schools are being run in Lucknow-Pilibhit. Moreover, Rs 50 crore have been proposed for corona vaccination. 


Water Facility For Farmers:


State Finance minister Khanna while rolling out the UP Budget annnounced that Farmer production organizations will be established at the block level and Rs 100 crore will be given for this. Besides this, 700 crores will be given to farmers for free water facility. Rs 400 crore for loans to farmers on subsidised rates. The budget also listed Rs 600 crore for Krishi Durghatna Yojana and Rs 100 crore for Atma Nirbhar Krishik Samanvit Vikas Yojana
