New Delhi: In a good news for the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) subscribers, The Central government has transferred 8.5% interest amount to 6.5 Provident Fund account holders. If you are employed and have a Provident Fund account, but you haven't received a message of interest being credited yet, here's an easy way to find out if the money has reached your account.
How much interest has been received
Before checking the account, know how much interest the government has paid. Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has paid 8.5%% on the total Provident Fund amount, the announcement of which was made a long time back.
Find out if you have received the money
You can send a message over the phone to a number issued by Employees' Provident Fund Organisation to find out if the interest amount has been credited to your account.
Type EPFOHO UAN from the mobile number registered on your account and send it to 773829989. This message will help you know the balance amount in your account. However, you will get this information only if your UAN PAN is linked to your Aadhaar card.
After sending the message, you will get to know your PF balance, your contribution, and how much interest credit you have received. This facility is available in different languages such as Hindi, English, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali.
