New Delhi [India], July 8 (ANI): To address the growing demand in cyber security professionals, Kratikal Academy on Saturday announced its partnership with Telecom Centre of Excellence (TCoE), an initiative by the Department of Telecommunication, Government of India, to train and certify students various partner colleges and universities across India.

According to NASSCOM, India will have shortage of one million cyber security professionals by 2020. Also, the global demand for cyber security experts is expected to reach to up to six million by 2019 and the labour crunch for the same is expected to hit approximately 3.5 million unfilled jobs by 2021, as per CSO Online.

The past few years has seen cyber security being verbosely discussed due to the sudden surge in cyber-attacks, targeting almost every industry, government and non-government organisations. . In 2015, up to USD 450 billion worth of business losses were incurred throughout the globe because of cyber-attacks, and according to Forbes, it is expected to cross USD 2 trillion by 2019.

With the increased cyber threats and the need to protect the information systems from those attacks, the job opportunities for the field are on all-time rise.

"Kratikal Academy identifies with the commitment of the government to promote Skill Development. With the help of TCoE, we aim to create two lakh Internet Armies by 2020 under this program. The organisation renders services in domains like vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, SQA consulting and process auditing, automation testing and training.

The certification course with the name of "Information Security Certified Professional" is accredited by TCoE and will be introduced in educational institutes and corporate houses across India. The course has been put under review of noted luminaries of IITs, NITs and IIITs. It will enable the students to understand the best practices, techniques and tools required for ensuring as well as maintaining information security. (ANI)
