Entrepreneur and former managing director (MD) and co-founder of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover, is celebrating his birthday on Tuesday.

Grover, who turned 40 on Tuesday, tweeted about his next business plans. He said, “Time to disrupt another sector. It's time for the Third Unicorn.” He announced that he is ready to build “the third unicorn”.

In the tweet, Grover said, “Today I turn 40. Some will say I've lived a full life and experienced more things than most. Created value for generations. For me, it's still unfinished business. Time to disrupt another sector. It’s time for the Third Unicorn.”

Grover, who was ousted from BharatPe, said last month that he was planning to start his own venture without seeking funds from investors.

The fintech platform had sacked Grover’s wife Madhuri Jain Grover, who was the head of controls at the fintech platform, for alleged financial irregularities during her tenure.

The board of BharatPe said Ashneer Grover, his family, and their relatives engaged in extensive misappropriation of company funds, including, but not limited to, creating fake vendors through which they siphoned money away from the company's account and grossly abused company expense accounts in order to enrich themselves and fund their lavish lifestyles.

Ashneer, also a popular judge on the reality show Shark Tank India, had accused BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer of siding with the investors to remove him from the company and threatened a legal action against Sameer and the board for his comments on professional networking platform LinkedIn against his sister Ashima Grover, along with seeking a resignation from Chairman Rajnish Kumar.
