Commercial LPG Cylinder Rates: Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced an immediate revision in the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders, a move that set to impact businesses. The price hike comes just ahead of major festivals like Dussehra and Diwali.
The cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by Rs 48.50, while the price of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders has increased by Rs 12. However, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged, with the 14 kg cylinder still priced at Rs 803.
This is the second consecutive hike, following a price increase in September when the cost of LPG cylinders rose by approximately Rs 39. The 19 kg commercial cylinder had then climbed to Rs 1,691.50, up from Rs 1,652.50.
At the beginning of each month, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) announce revisions to the prices of cooking gas and jet fuel. These adjustments reflect the constantly shifting market conditions. LPG cylinder prices are influenced by various factors such as global oil prices, foreign exchange rates, taxation policies, and the dynamics of supply and demand.
