Ashneer Grover, co-founder and former managing director, BharatPe is all set to begin his second innings in the fintech industry with a new app. The entrepreneur is reportedly getting ready to launch his new app for medical loans called ZeroPe.

The app, ZeroPe, is currently being tested and has been developed by Third Unicorn, reported Moneycontrol citing the Google Playstore listing. Third Unicorn was founded by Grover after he moved out from BharatPe. The new app lists Grover and Aseem Ghavri as the founders.

The ZeroPe app plans to provide instant pre-approved medical loans to customers of up to Rs 5 lakh. The app will be partnering up with Mukut Finvest to provide these loans. Mukut Finvest is a non-banking financial company (NBFC) based out of Delhi. The app’s website revealed that its services can only be accessed at its partner hospitals.

The app further promises an easy experience with loans, with timely notifications about EMIs, and easy payment services in just a few clicks. The customers need to set up their account and complete their KYC process to be eligible for loans from the app, it stated.

Third Unicorn was launched by Grover with his wife Madhuri Jain Grover and entrepreneur Aseem Ghavri in January 2023. The entity began with fantasy gaming platform, CrickPe, and raised $3.5 million in a seed round, which was dominated by ZNL Growth Fund and saw participation from Vevek Ventures Investments and Rishaayu LLP.

Currently, there are several players in the market offering easy financing solutions for medical purposes such as SaveIn, Qube Heatlh, Neodocs, Fibe, Kenko, Arogya Finance, and Mykare Health.

ZeroPe promises immediate loan disbursal after KYC verification and promises the customer to retain the choice for selecting the loan and repayment mode.
