With festive season in full swing, it is better to complete your financial errands and appointments in advance. However, you should also keep a tab on the scheduled holidays in the stock market and banks in this festive period to avoid any inconvenience and missing any deadlines.

As far as the coming week is concerned, the public should be aware of multiple holidays scheduled for Indian banks. However, these holidays differ as they are based on regional festivals.

Are Banks Open Tomorrow?

On Monday, banks will be closed in several regions in the country on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi or Id-e-Milad. Customers will not be able to visit banks in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram on September 16, 2024.

Banks across the country also observed a holiday on September 14, 2024 to mark the second Saturday in the month. Therefore, the Monday bank holiday will mean a long weekend off for banks in the regions mentioned above.

Similarly, in Gangtok, banks will remain closed on Tuesday and Wednesday this week as well on the occasions of Indrajatra/Id-e-Milad (Milad-Un-Nabi) and Pang-Lhabsol. The bank holiday for September 18 will also be observed by banks in Raipur.

Therefore, it is advised to always check the holidays list given by the RBI and schedule your bank appointments accordingly. Customers will be able to access banking services such as internet, mobile banking, and UPI even during these holidays. Only the physical branches of the banks will remain closed in the specific regions.
