States Celebrating Bank Holiday Today

The following cities will observe a bank holiday on June 7, 2025, due to Bakrid: Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad - Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad - Telangana, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.

In contrast, regular banking operations will continue in Ahmedabad, Gangtok, and Itanagar, as these cities have not declared a holiday for Bakrid on the RBI list.

In India, banks operate on the first and third Saturdays of each month and remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays and every Sunday. Additionally, banks observe closures on various national, regional, and religious holidays, which differ from one state to another.
