New Delhi: Vishal Garg, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Better.com, recently issued a decree to fire 900 employees within minutes over a zoom call.

Ever since then, the news of this gigantic layoff has been the talk of the town on social media. However, Garg later issued an apology to his employees, for the embarrassing act that made headlines globally and hundreds of memes on social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Industrialist Anand Mahindra took to Twitter and weighed in on the entrepreneur for his move and wondered if it will be fair to give him a second chance.

"I am curious to know if you think a CEO can save after such a mistake?" he tweeted. At the same time, he asked if it was appropriate to give a second chance....?" Mahindra tweeted.

Anand Mahindra is quite active on Twitter with over 8.5 million followers. Reacting to Mahindra's tweet on CEO Vishal Garg, his followers commented to express their views.

One follower has replied on this, "It's not like someone gives them a second chance! It's about whether they have the sympathy needed to become a leader!"

Another follower has responded to Anand Mahindra's tweet: "Your question is whether a CEO can avoid it. Certainly not. Lack of empathy for a CEO and low EQ is obvious. I don't know whom he was trying to please. No wonder nowadays people are at least proud of the companies they are working for.
