Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of Adani Group, has announced that the Adani Foundation will provide support and better medical treatment to a 10-year-old girl named Lovely, who lives with her elderly grandparents in the Kandharapur village of Uttar Pradesh.
Lovely, a class 5 student, has been living with her grandparents after the death of her mother and her father's subsequent remarriage. Despite her physical disabilities, her grandparents have been striving to ensure her education. Her story of perseverance and hardship was recently shared on the social media platform X, garnering widespread attention.
Responding to the social media post, Gautam Adani praised the efforts of Lovely's grandparents, saying, "It is sad that a daughter's childhood is taken away like this. The struggle of Lovely and her grandparents at such a young age shows that a typical Indian family never gives up."
He assured that the Adani Foundation will ensure Lovely receives the necessary treatment and support to thrive like other children. "We all are with Lovely," he added.
The announcement has brought a wave of relief and hope to Lovely's family. Her grandfather, Prakash, became emotional upon hearing the news.
Since its inception in 1996, the Adani Foundation has been dedicated to making strategic social investments for sustainable outcomes across India.
