Madhya Pradesh has truly set a new benchmark in industrial growth and investment potential by securing MoUs worth ₹30.77 Lakh Crore at the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025. Held in Bhopal and inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 24th February, this event marked a historic milestone in the state’s bid to establish itself as a global business hub.
With the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, GIS 2025 attracted overwhelming participation from over 25,000 registrations and more than 100 international delegates from 60 countries. The summit’s global reach was amplified with nine partner nations, including Canada, Germany, Japan, Italy, and the United Kingdom, showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s expanding international stature as a premier investment destination.
The presence of influential business leaders such as Shri Gautam Adani (Adani Group), Shri Pawan Goenka (Garaj Industries), Shri Baba Kalyani (Bharat Forge), and Shri Rahul Awasthi (Sun Pharmaceuticals) further reinforced the state’s growing importance in the industrial landscape. Their involvement in the summit underscored Madhya Pradesh’s rising appeal to national and global investors.
A critical factor in driving this growth has been the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (MPIDC), which has played a pivotal role in shaping the state's infrastructure and facilitating investment opportunities. The MPIDC’s proactive approach in enhancing infrastructure has made Madhya Pradesh a sought-after location for businesses looking to invest and expand.
GIS 2025 saw over 70 one-on-one meetings between industry leaders and representatives from renowned companies like Godrej Group, Piramal, and Tata Group. These interactions aimed at discussing investment strategies and refining policies to ensure continued business success. Such sessions paved the way for long-term collaborations that will undoubtedly fuel the state’s industrial future.
A standout feature of the summit was the introduction of an AI-based business matchmaking tool. This innovative tool streamlined over 600 B2G (Business-to-Government) meetings and 5,000 B2B (Business-to-Business) sessions, making the entire process more efficient and helping connect the right partners.
The event also hosted 10 focused sessions across critical sectors, including renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and green hydrogen. These thematic discussions highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to diversifying its economy and embracing the sectors of tomorrow, reinforcing the state’s strategy of becoming a forward-thinking industrial powerhouse.
Additionally, the NRI Madhya Pradesh Summit was a key aspect of GIS 2025, with over 500 NRIs attending the event. Their involvement underscored the importance of the NRI community in the state’s ongoing development, with many sharing investment proposals and strengthening ties with their home state.
With MoUs worth ₹30.77 Lakh Crore, GIS 2025 has cemented Madhya Pradesh’s reputation as a rising investment destination. The summit not only highlighted the state’s existing industrial strength but also laid the groundwork for long-term growth, innovation, and global partnerships.
