New Delhi (India), April 24: Shubham Verma is a rising star in the music industry. With no godfather or help from anyone, he is working hard to make a name for himself in the industry. He's a rapper known by his stage name Sky Verma among his fans. Sky is 23 years old and hails from a middle-class family in Ghaziabad.
 
At the age of 20, Sky Verma decided to make a career in rapping. He has grown up listening to different kinds of music. But it is rapping that caught his attention. He has grown up listening to various Hindi, Punjabi and English rappers. The artist who inspired him to follow his dreams is Karma, a rap artist from Kalamkar Label. Sky was inspired by Karma's '1 se 23 tak' rap song.
 
So far, Shubham Verma, aka rap artist Sky Verma, has faced many challenges. Since rapping is not a mainstream form of music, it can be challenging for desi hip-hop videos to always get great views. But Sky didn't let these hurdles affect him a lot. He believes in doing good work and knows that all his efforts will pay off one day.
 
As a rapper, Sky Verma himself has released several tracks. He recently dropped Gang Gang rap, which is currently garnering good views. His other tracks include Barbaric, Nasha, Pyaar Ka Scene Hai and others. His songs are available on Spotify and YouTube. Recently, one of his videos crossed more than 1.1 million views. He is on cloud nine, seeing the enormous reception his raps have received.
 
When asked how it feels to be an independent artist today, when social media has made many people a star, the artist answered, "I think it's a good time to be an artist. Platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Instagram and others help artists like me connect with our audience. If people love our music, they make reels, and in no time, the song is a huge hit everywhere. There are challenges too. But that shouldn't stop anyone from doing their best."
