The programme commences tentatively on August 1, 2025, with registrations closing on July 31, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates seeking admission through the lateral entry must meet the following criteria:
Passed Minimum THREE years/ TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of
Engineering and Technology. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognised University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. OR Passed B. Voc/3/3-year D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. (The University will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve the desired learning outcomes of the program)
We are offering direct second-year admission along with M.Tech to working professionals from 2024 onwards. Eligibility for Direct Second Year B.Tech Working Professionals:
- The basic eligibility will be the same as a DSY candidate, including Diploma, BSc., Vocational, and Migration categories
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- The industry you are working in lies within a 75 KM radius of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune

Registration Process:
Eligible candidates, including those who have appeared or are appearing for the final year of Diploma/B.Sc./Migration Courses or are working professionals after migration, can register online through the official portal. The process is as follows:
- Click on the Register button.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions by clicking ‘I Agree’.
- Fill in the required details on the registration page.
- Choose a password and set a hint question for recovery, then click ‘Save and Continue’.
- Your SIT Pune Direct Second Year 2025 ID will be generated and shared via email.
Candidates should use this ID for all future correspondence and to log into the application portal for form submission or edits.
Once registered, candidates can proceed to make the application fee payment of ₹1500, which is non-refundable. Payment can be made through various online modes, including credit card, debit card, internet banking, and UPI. The last date for completing the online registration process is July 31, 2025. The programme is tentatively scheduled to commence on August 1, 2025.
