A war of words has erupted between I.N.D.I.A. bloc partners Samajwadi Party and Congress ahead of the state elections in 2023. Akhilesh Yadav, upset over his party not being accommodated by the Congress in Madhya Pradesh, has questioned the utility of an all-India alliance if the parties will be contesting against each other in state elections.  The Congress has clarified that the alliance is for Lok Sabha elections, and it will adopt an “ekla chalo re”, or go it alone, policy
