Opinion | Modi’s Russia Visit May Give Rise To ‘Noodle-Bowl’ Foreign Policy

American statesman and former Vice-President Hubert H. Humphrey once famously said, “Foreign policy is really domestic policy with its hat on.” While he said this during the 1960s, this is becoming truer than ever before in 21st century India under the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), or, specifically, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where foreign policy and domestic policy have got intertwined – for better or worse, I leave it for the future generations to infer.
