Tamil Nadu is once again debating what most people there call “imposition” of Hindi, and the issue has this time triggered a war of words between the two leaders holding the top two constitutional posts – the governor and the chief minister. While Governor RN Ravi has questioned the motives of those opposing Hindi, Chief Minister MK Stalin opposed the celebration of Hindi month in a non-Hindi speaking state like Tamil Nadu, equating it with “belittling" other languages.
