TVS has launched a special edition of its Ronin motorcycle in India with a price-tag of Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). The updates are mostly feature laden and related to the aesthetics side rather than mechanical changes. This special edition variant is available on the top-spec TD variant of the Ronin. Visually one of the talking points is the new paint scheme which includes a triple-tone Nimbus Grey colour option plus it also gets new graphics. This triple-tone paint scheme has grey as the primary tone colour, white as the secondary tone colour, and a red stripe as the third tone. You will notice the fresh new paint scheme also in the fuel tank and side panels.

The wheels also get added R logo branding along with more blacked out elements on the lower half of the bike. The headlamp bezel also gets a blackened look with its black bezel. This special edition Ronin also comes with an USB charger, visor plus it also gets a different EFI cover. Other features include Digital Cluster (DTE - Distance to Empty, ETA – Estimated Time of Arrival, Gear Shift Assist, Side Stand Engine Inhibitor, Service Due Indication, Low Battery Indicator), Voice Assist, Turn by Turn Navigation, LED lighting and more.

As mentioned before, the TVS Ronin special edition does not get any change in terms of the engine or gearbox with the 225.9-cc oil-cooled powertrain developing 20.1bhp at 7,750 rpm, along with a torque output of 19.93 Nm. This powertrain comes with a five-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. We think the blacked-out elements and the new paint scheme add a sporty touch to the motorcycle. The Ronin has been the first modern retro motorcycle from TVS while this special edition is aimed at the festive season.
