New Delhi: The new Glanza has the same price as the Baleno which was also launched recently which means it is down to the styling or the badge which will decide the buying decision.

The new Glanza does look more premium with a different face with a new bumper like the Camry plus a new grille along with a different DRL signature. This does look more aggressive.

Inside, the design is an all-new dashboard with a bigger touchscreen than the previous Glanza plus more features. The Glanza also gets a dual-tone colour scheme on the inside as well which marks a big difference from the Baleno. Plus the Glanza is now available in more trims with E, S, G, and V model lines- unlike the old Glanza which was available in fewer variants.

In terms of features, you get 6 airbags, climate control, a 9-inch touch screen, a 360-degree camera, rear ac vents, and more. The engine option is a sole 90 bhp 1.2 l dualjet engine with start/stop function for added mileage benefit.

The Glanza also gets an AMT now along with a manual gearbox with this engine. The price list means the Glanza is just Rs 4,000 more expensive at the base variant while top-end variants are just Rs 20k more expensive. The base variant for example starts at Rs 6.39 lakh while the fully loaded AMT is priced at Rs 9.69 lakh.

The AMT version is only available with the S variant onwards. The Glanza will be the latest new hatchback to be launched in the premium category and rivals the i20 from Hyundai plus Altroz from Tata Motors along with Baleno of course from Maruti.
