Toyota has unveiled the new generation Innova Hycross in India and its launch will take place early next year.

The new Innova Hycross is based on an all-new monocoque platform along with being completely different from the current Crysta.

The new Innova Hycross has a more SUV-like styling and has grown in terms of dimensions with a length of 4,755mm along with a width of 1,850mm. The car maintains its high ground clearance from the current Innova.

From the front, you get a large grille, and sculpted headlamps while from the side there is somewhat of an MPV look to it. The new Innova Hycross has 18-inch wheels.

The rear styling is more SUV-like on the front as well and the new version has larger windows along with an airier cabin. The new platform means that the new Innova Hycross has a longer wheelbase now when compared to its predecessor and the interior design is also all-new.

There is a premium factor with dual-tone leather seats and the gear lever is placed upwards on the centre console while you will also see a floating 10-inch touchscreen.

In terms of technology, the new Innova Hycross gets a new digital instrument cluster too while in terms of features there has been a big jump now. For starters, there is a big panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, LED ambient lighting, cooled seats, and quilted leather seats also. Then you get LED lamps and a climate control function for the rear too.

It is also the first Toyota to have ADAS in terms of automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and more.

The seats are all new on the new Innova Hycross which in the top-end variant features extendable leg rests for the rear passenger plus captain seats. There are two versions in 7 and 8-seater form.

In terms of engine options, the Innova Hycross is now petrol and also available as a petrol hybrid. There is no manual gearbox as the standard is a CVT with the hybrid being a combination of a 2.0l petrol along with an electric motor. Combined output is upwards of 180 bhp.

The Innova Hycross would be launched next year at the Auto Expo with bookings starting today.
