While we wait to see the Toyota Innova Hycross at its India debut on November 25, images of the interior reveal the new agenda for this MPV/crossover. The interior is a massive step forward in terms of luxury and features along with new technology. The design of the dashboard is typically Toyota but now has a touchscreen tucked away at the top of the dashboard while the gear lever has been placed upwards to free up storage space in the middle.
There is a premium look with lots of soft touch inserts and a silver finish. The centre console has a neat layout of buttons while the centre armrest is massive too. The steering wheel design is typical Toyota while the instrument cluster is part digital with a large screen in the middle with hybrid specific information. We already know that the Innova Hycross will have a lot of features including a 360-degree camera display, a large double pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, LED ambient lighting etc.
The big change when seen in these images of the Innova Zenix (what it will be called in Indonesia) is with the rear seats. These would be proper luxury car rear seats with extendable leg rest and would be captain seats. We expected this to be available for the top-end version and a bench seat would also be there on the other variants. There would also be connected car technology on offer.
As we have mentioned before, you no longer would be able to buy a diesel version with the new generation Innova while the older Crysta is expected to continue to be on sale. The new Innova Hycross would have a hybrid powertrain which is already seen with other Toyota cars including the Camry and the Hyryder.
