Tata Curvv SUV has finally been introduced in the Indian market and the launch price starts from Rs. 17.49 lakh for the EV. The ICE version priced would be out in September. The Curvv will slot itself below the Harrier and above the Nexon but it is the first coupe design SUV from Tata Motors hence the sloping side profile plus the rear styling. It is based on the ATLAS architecture which brings further benefits in terms of packaging.

Dimensions are matching rivals like the Hyundai Creta as well with the length being 4308mm while the width is 1810mm. The Curvv has a height of 1630mm and a wheelbase of 2560mm. The EV version has a 500l boot and a frunk too while the ICE version has the boot only of course.

The Curvv has flush door handles and broad shoulders while the EV and the ICE Curvv have subtle differences. There is also a roof top spoiler and large 18 inch alloy wheels as well.

The Curvv will get diesel, turbo petrol and EV powertrains. There would be two powertrains in petrol with the highlight being the new Hyperion 1.2l turbo petrol engine with 125 bhp and 225Nm of torque while the standard 1.2l turbo unit with 120 bhp and 170Nm like on the Nexon will also continue. Gearbox options include a DCA dual clutch automatic too.

There is also a 1.5l diesel but here too along with a manual, you get a DCA automatic option.

Finally, the EV version comes with two battery packs with a 55kWh battery pack for the higher variant and a 40.5kWh battery pack for the standard version. The claimed range of the Curvv is 585 km.

Both battery pack options come with a single electric motor.

Lets talk features and here the Curvv will come with a 12.3 inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, powered tailgate with gesture, panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seat, powered drivers seat and dual ventilated seats, Adas level 2, powered handbrake and more.
