Tata Motors has teased the Curvv EV which is due for launch soon in India. The Curvv EV will first come in an EV form while later coming with a petrol/diesel powertrain. The Curvv diesel as pictured here was shown at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year in a near-production form while the EV was shown as a concept earlier. We expect the model to be launched around the festive season with teasers starting now.

The Curvv will have a length of 4308mm being above the Nexon but below the Harrier. The Harrier EV is the next launch after the Curvv EV. The design of the Curvv EV would be visually different from the Curvv ICE version with aero-optimised detailing and different wheels. Speaking of which the Curvv EV will come with 18inch wheels and details like flush door handles.

Curvv EV To Rival MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti eVX

The Curvv EV maintains the look of the concept with a coupe-like SUV look while the front-end will have the signature Tata EV look. The Curvv EV like the Punch EV will have the active architecture which is also what underpins the Punch EV.

The Curvv EV will rival the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV plus other cars including also Maruti's own first EV, the eVX. The Curvv though would be different because of its SUV coupe-like styling. We expect pricing to be higher than the Nexon EV while it would be sold across the new EV-only showrooms and in other showrooms too.

Tata Motors currently has the majority market share in the EV space and expects its larger product range in EVs to make up a larger chunk of its sales.  Tata Motors will also increase its EV-only showrooms too as it plans to further focus on EVs with many new products in the pipeline.
