Auto company Skoda has started the delivery of its latest SUV Kushaq across India. However, at present, the delivery has commenced only for its 1.0-litre variant. Its 1.5-litre turbo version can be bought in August this year. If you are interested in buying Skoda Kushaq, then you can pre-book by paying a token money of Rs 25,000. Let us know the features that make Skoda Kushaq best in its segment.

Kushaq is smaller than Creta
The Kushaq is not a subcompact SUV but it is also a bit smaller than other compact SUVs like the Creta. Its length is 4225mm. The top-end variant gets 17-inch alloy wheels. The front of the Kushaq gets a bigger grille while the rear is similar to that of a crossover. Inside, the model comes with a typical two-spoke Skoda steering wheel but the analog dials are not as digital as the others. It also has a 10-inch touch screen.

Features and Engine
The Kushaq has much more to offer with connected technology with a sunroof and ventilated front seats. The model also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a valet mode, ambient light, cooled glovebox, USB Type C port, six airbags, rear view camera, ESC and more. The Kushaq is powered by two petrol engines, with a 1.0-litre TSI engine starting at 115bhp. It gets either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic as standard. The Kushaq also gets the more powerful 1.5-lire TSI engine with 150bhp and will be available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG.

Launched in five color options
The Kushaq is available in three trims which include Ambition, Active and Style. This SUV has been launched in the Indian market with five colour options namely Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Carbon Steel, Honey Orange and Tornado Red.

Will compete with these brands.
While the Skoda Kushaq competes with compact SUVs like the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta, it will compete with the subcompact class of SUVs like the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Kia Sonet along with the Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon to some extent. However, with Creta starting at Rs 9.90 lakh, the Kushaq is comparatively a bit pricey. It remains to be seen how the market reacts to the launch of Skoda Kushaq.
