New Delhi: 7-seater premium SUVs are currently a very popular segment and now Skoda has added its own contender in form of the Kodiaq facelift. This is an extensive update of the Kodiaq premium SUV and it comes back to the Skoda India line-up with many upgrades. There are three trims- Style, SportLine, and Laurin & Klement while the prices start at Rs 34.99 lakh.
Biggest change is the petrol engine now offered in the Kodiaq which is a 2.0 TSI engine making 140kW (190 PS) and 320Nm. Standard is a 7-speed DSG and all wheel drive is also there. The previous version had a diesel engine which has not been replaced by a turbo petrol motor.
New to the Kodiaq is the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), being offered in the L&K top-end trim. DCC allows the driver to select between Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sports, Snow and Individual driving modes. As you can see, the Kodiaq is also different looking with a big upgrade with a hexagonal grille, new LED headlamps with new DRL signature plus new alloy wheels. The rear also gets dynamic turn indicators.
The Kodiaq is a 7-seater and comes with an updated cabin with a digital instrument cluster, new two spoke steering wheel, stone beige leather perforated upholstery for the L&K etc.
The SportLine comes with all black suede interiors, a 3-spoke flat-bottom sport steering wheel, more side bolstering, integrated headrests, and expanded shoulder support sport seats.
