Skoda India has shown the Enyaq EV at the Bharat Mobility Expo and it would be its first EV for India. Skoda currently has many products with the Slavia sedan and the Kodiaq but the Enyaq finally is their first step towards electrification.

The Enyaq is a premium EV which would most likely be brought in as a CBU along with being fully loaded for the Indian market. The Enyaq is slightly shorter than the Kodiaq and will come with dual motors and a 77kWh battery pack.

The claimed range is around 513km per charge and that is a good number considering its segment while being up there with other EVs at this range. The Enyaq is AWD with dual motors and it would develop 265bhp too.

It is based on the MEB platform and has the traditional Skoda design cues but with an EV look. The dimensions of the Enyaq include a length of 4,648mm and a width of 1,877mm.

Like all EVs, expect DC fast charging and other features while the interior would have a large touchscreen and premium features. At the same time, flexibility in terms of space is also expected to be offered with the Enyaq. The car has an angular look at the front with the bumper design while the shape is crossover-like.

Both Skoda and Volkswagen will bring in new EVs and after Skoda, we expect the ID EV from Volkswagen also to be here.

We expect the Enyaq to be positioned as a premium product to test EV waters in India before an eventual volume-centric product would be brought to India. More details to be shared soon by Skoda leading up to a launch in India.
