New Delhi: Amongst various launches that Royal Enfield is planning for our market, one of the most interesting is the RE Hunter 350 as it will be the most affordable bike from them. Expected to be launched in August, this new bike, Hunter 350, is based on the same J platform as the Meteor 350 and the Classic 350. However, this new model would be a lot sportier and also agile. An engine is a familiar unit being a 349 cc, single-cylinder engine with 20.2 bhp of max power and 27 Nm of peak torque.

The gearbox would be a 5-speed one. As said earlier, the styling shows the sportier look that the bike will have and has a roadster vibe to the design. You can see the round turn indicators and the round tail-light while the rider would sit much lower. Also, expect the Tripper navigation pod to be available albeit as an option.

It is more of a retro-themed bike and will aim at getting new riders into Royal Enfield ownership with an attractive entry-level price. More than the other RE models, this is one for nimble city usage while also bringing a more youthful sportier feel. In terms of competition, expect this new bike to compete against the likes of the Honda CB 350 RS and the Jawa 42 while prices would be much lower than the Meteor 350.

Hence, expect to pay around Rs 1.5 lakh for the Hunter 350 and that certainly will open new doors to a new set of riders for this brand. We will also bring you more details on this bike soon, so stay tuned for more.
