The new Ola S1 Air might be the most affordable electric scooter within the S1 range, but there would be another addition below this price point. The S1X would be priced below the S1 Air and would be given a sub-1 lakh price range. The range of this upcoming electric scooter would be around 100 km. It is aimed at those who want a budget alternative to petrol-powered scooters. The range on offer would be less than the Air or the Pro but still enough to do short journeys.

It will be unveiled on Independence Day and would be having some cost-cutting in terms of design plus features. The digital display for example would be more basic but expect it to get features like Bluetooth and navigation. Hence, the upcoming affordable Ola scooter would be a bare-bones design while the highlight would be its price which would enable it to compete with petrol scooters head-on.

This move is in line with Ola Electric extending its range and reach along with a more mass market appeal with the S1X. For the month of June, Ola Electric sold 17,579 units while products like these will further increase sales.
