New Delhi: Hyundai launched the Alcazar this year but next year it has many new products in-store including the Tucson in its new generation form. The current Tucson has been on sale for a while even though it did get a facelift recently. That said, the more exciting bit is the arrival of the new Tucson and we can see cars being spied on our roads or even arriving at dealerships. The new Tucson is an all-new generation model hence not a facelift.
This is the fourth-generation model and has got a huge makeover. The new styling comes with a massive grille along with the fact that the LED DRLs are hidden when not in use while the headlamps are on the side.
The new Tucson is also larger along with having a premium look while the rear styling also gets a light bar attached with the tail lamps. It is quite aggressive-looking overall. The interior is new and comes with dual 10.25-inch screens which include a digital instrument cluster.
It will have premium features including three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and an updated BlueLink connected technology system with more features. The new generation Tucson also has a longer wheelbase with more space inside.
The new Tucson could get a larger 2.5l petrol or a 1.6l turbo petrol while the current 2.0l from the Alcazar can also be there. There would also be a diesel engine with manual/automatic options. The new Tucson will obviously be more expensive than the earlier one but will still be competitively priced knowing Hyundai and its pricing strategy. The new Tucson will compete with the likes of the Citroen C5 Aircross and Jeep Compass amongst others.
