New Maruti Wagon R Facelift Launched With More Features And Mileage

Prices start at Rs 5.3 lakh for the 1.0l model to Rs 5.99 lakh for the 1.2l variant range.

Maruti Suzuki is updating all of its range and with the new Baleno just launched a few days back, the new Wagon R has also been launched. The new Wagon R comes with attractive design features, both external and internal designs. Read further to know more about the design feature, safety specifications and price of the new Wagon R. 

 

Design Feature in in the new Wagon R

Styling wise the new Wagon R gets dual tone exteriors, new alloy wheels and a floating roof design. The dual tone exterior design will come in the Z+ variant with 2 new colour combinations of Gallant Red with Black roof and Magma Grey with Black roof. Even the interiors are all new and are dual tone with beige and dark grey seat fabric design. In terms of features, the Wagon R in its new form has an idle stop start system in petrol variants and Hill Hold Assist in AGS variants. The 17.78cm (7”) SmartPlay Studio infotainment system comes with smartphone navigation plus has a 4
speaker audio system and cloud-based services too.

 

The Wagon R 1.0 and 1.2l petrol now have Dualjet technology and idle start/stop feature to increase efficiency. Speaking of which, the 1.0l AGS now delivers 25.19 km/l while the 1.2l delivers 24.43 kmpl for the AGS version. That is an increase of nearly 20 percent for the new Wagon R.

 

 

Safety Features in the new Wagon R

Safety wise, the new Wagon R has dual airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), front seat belts reminder, high-speed alert system and rear parking sensors- all of which are standard across variants.

 

Price of the new Wagon R 

Prices start at Rs 5.3 lakh for the 1.0l model to Rs 5.99 lakh for the 1.2l variant range. There is also the Maruti subscription where you can get the Wagon R at Rs 12,300. The Wagon R has been one of the best selling Maruti cars and also quite popular in CNG form, these changes and increasing the mileage will only make it more popular due to current fuel prices and need for more efficient cars.
