The upcoming launch of the new Creta on January 16, 2024, marks a significant milestone for Hyundai as this SUV stands as one of their pivotal vehicles. While the current Creta continues to perform exceptionally well, showing no signs of decline, the facelift promises substantial changes, with a fresh appearance and a range of new features. Here are the top three anticipated new features:

  • 1.5L turbo petrol engine

One of the biggest changes in the new Creta would be its new 1.5L turbo petrol unit, currently powering models like the Verna and the Alcazar. This new turbo petrol engine delivers more power compared to the earlier 1.4L turbo unit, with 160bhp and 253Nm. The new turbo petrol engine will be available with either a manual gearbox or a DCT automatic, equipped with paddle shifters and drive modes.

  • 18-inch wheels

The upcoming Creta is likely to feature 18-inch alloy wheels sporting a new design inspired by the Alcazar model. These larger wheels are set to enhance the Creta's aesthetic appeal, imparting a sportier stance to its design. They might be available as an option on the top-end turbo petrol version, equipped with the new 1.5L turbo petrol engine.

  • ADAS

The new Creta, launching in India, will be equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) similar to the systems found in the new Verna. This technology, already present in models such as the Seltos and the Elevate, will introduce Level 2 ADAS features. These encompass a comprehensive range of additional tech functionalities, including forward collision warning, blind-spot collision detection and avoidance assistance, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, adaptive cruise control (including stop-and-go functionality), rear cross-traffic assist, and more.
