Hyundai has revealed the new Verna sedan in India before its March 21 debut. The new generation Verna comes with a more aggressive design as seen in the images. It is a complete departure from the previous generation model while being longer plus wider than the earlier Verna too.

The front image reveals a look which is similar to the aggressive design language adopted by the new Hyundai sedans as seen with the new Elantra globally along with the design language also seen with the new Tucson. The new Verna gets a full-length DRL and a grille which covers the entire front end of the car while the headlamps are below. It has a broad chin and a wide look too. The edges are also aggressively shaped with a clear focus on sportiness.

The car also has large alloy wheels and strong character lines at the side while the sloping coupe-like profile is also another talking point. The rear has the same look as the exterior with a full-length light bar which again makes the design look wider and lower.

Inside the new Verna is expected to have a large touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster too while expecting it to get more features than the current model with dual powered seats, a sunroof, climate control and ADAS level 2 features.

As discussed earlier, the new Verna will come with two petrol engines including one new turbo petrol unit. The turbo petrol unit will come with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a manual while the 1.5l standard petrol will get a CVT auto and a manual. We expect aggressive pricing with the new Verna and expect more information leading up to its launch.
