New Delhi: MG Motor has revealed the first look of its upcoming Hector facelift and it has a big diamond grille up-front. The new Hector gets a new look and while it maintains the earlier DRL set-up, the new grille is much bigger and covers a large part of the face with a mesh pattern. The headlamps remain below while the DRLs are above along with what looks like a new skid plate too.

Compared to the earlier Hector, the bigger grille is more aggressive now and moves to cover a larger part of the front surface area. The new Hector will also get a new look rear styling with a revised set of tail-lamps along with new alloys too. MG had earlier revealed that Hector would be launched towards the end of the year with a huge new 14inch portrait-oriented touchscreen which is larger than its rivals.

We expect new features and an updated infotainment system along with features like a panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, a 360-degree view camera and lots more.

The new Hector will not have much change on the engine front with the same set of petrol and diesel engines with the petrol getting a CVT automatic option while the diesel would remain manual only. We can expect some change in the dynamics of the SUV overall while another crucial feature would be the addition of ADAS features which we have seen on the Astor and the Gloster till now. The launch of the new Hector would be around the end of this year.
