New Delhi: In the KTM range, there is a new bike and now the updated RC 390 has been given a price-tag with the website of the bike maker showing a Rs 3.14 lakh price-tag. That is a price increase over the earlier RC 390 with prices going up by Rs 36,000. The new version gets more in terms of upgrades which does justify the price increase a lot. The new design more or less retains the look but with small upgrades which have also been given to the less powerful RC models like the RC 125 and the 200. That said, to differentiate it, there are new colours which do look nice.

These colours are KTM Electronic Orange and KTM Factory Racing Blue. Other things that the bike gets is a side-slung exhaust, Bluetooth TFT instrument cluster, traction control and LED headlight. While power output has not been changed from 43.5 bhp, the torque figure has increased due to updates to the 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The torque figure is at 37Nm and it also has a 6-speed gearbox.

There are new features from the 390 Duke and Adventure which has made it to the RC 390. The adjustable suspension setup should also improve the dynamics and it is one of the few bikes to get this feature at this price- plus the Adventure does not get it in India. Knowing these upgrades the new RC 390 is better value than before and the small price hike should not deter enthusiasts liking this bike.

The India launch date is not yet revealed but it has been late due to current issues which are affecting the auto industry. All in all, this is an affordable enthusiast bike that has gotten better.
