MG Select is the premium sales channel which will first sell two of its high-end cars in India namely the Cyberster and the M9. Let us talk about the M9 which is a luxury MPV aimed to compete with the Toyota Vellfire even though it would be expected to be priced much lower. The M9 is a huge car though, being longer than the Vellfire even at 5.2m and very wide. There is a lot of chrome, slim headlamps and a large glass area for obvious reasons to generate a sense of space.

However, what matters is on the inside where the space and the features on offer is simply unheard of at this price. The M9 is a large car and that means it gets three rows with the second row being the best place. Sit inside and you simply stretch out-even for someone as tall as me at 6ft. There are power sliding doors and getting in is easy while inside the seats are comfortable while you sink into them.

MG M9 First Look Review: Massive Luxury Car With Huge Space!

A lot of features are on offer with massage functions along with being an Ottoman too. There is a touchscreen to control these functions while there is a separate climate control function along with ventilation and more. There are entertainment screens and the seats are powered of course. There are twin sunroofs too while upfront the cabin has a minimalist about with a large screen.

Quality is good and it feels plus as you would expect but the talking point here is the space and features. The battery pack would be a 90kWh one while range would be above 400km. We expect prices to be much below the Vellfire and along with the Carnival from Kia. This is aimed at being an alternative to diesel luxury cars and the focus here we think is the space on offer and the features along with the sheer size of it.
